REQUEST A CALL BACK

Hello Reece!

As per tradition at Boast, we ask all staff to pick their favourite movie poster to go on our movie wall. So Reece!...what made you choose Star Wars- The Empire Strikes back?

As a lifelong star wars fan what better film to pick than ‘The Empire Strikes back’? The battle of Hoth, the Jedi training with Yoda, the lightsabre battles are all great childhood memories!

What is your career background?

Before getting into the freight forwarding industry I have worked in Bars both part time and full time, I later worked in an Arcade and casino before joining Boast in March 2021.

What attracted you to the freight forwarding industry?

Nearly all my family have worked in different parts of the industry and have progressed well, I also knew the industry offered the best career prospects in Felixstowe. After being furloughed in my last job, as the arcade I worked in had to temporarily close, I knew it was time to begin a full career and it felt like a natural next step in my life.

What skills have you transferred over to your new industry that you have found particularly useful?

In my previous jobs I have had to deal with members of the public face to face with customer service as the focus, and at Boast customer service is very much part of our business so it was a natural transition. Problem solving is also a skill which has been instrumental when moving to Boast as new and varied challenges are always round the corner in freight forwarding.

What do you enjoy most about your new role?

I enjoy the pace of working in a fast moving environment and I enjoy the teamwork in our office which is second to none. It is also nice that there is a good atmosphere at Boast.

What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?

I enjoy going to local bars and restaurants in Felixstowe, I am also the training officer for 432 Woodbridge SQN air cadets as a civilian instructor running their training program since I aged out as a Cadet warrant officer.
